A Greenbrier County institution since 1948, Spud's was originally a popular drive-in restaurant near the WV State Fair on Route 219 North, owned and operated by Edwin "Spud" and Madeline Spurlock. The drive-in was known for its specialty sandwiches and pork BBQ, which they began selling commercially in the 1950's.
