Two historical landmarks in Alderson:
- The Alderson Memorial Pedestrian Bridge, built in 1913 is on the National Register of Historic Places. The concrete arch bridge linking two counties (Greenbrier and Monroe) and one town together offers gorgeous views up and down the Greenbrier River. Today, it is the only concrete arch bridge remaining in West Virginia.
